Sime Darby Bhd’s plantation arm Sime Darby Plantation Sdn Bhd has acquired a Sarawak-based oil palm plantation company, Nature Ambience Sdn Bhd, for RM16.8 million.
In October, Nature Ambience was granted approval to be the investor/developer for 26,211ha of Native Customary Rights lands in Kapit and Julau, Sarawak.
The acquisition will enable the Sime Darby group to develop oil palm plantations in Sarawak NCR development scheme.
